Good morning everyone! Today I'm showing you the image Basket of Flowers from Crafty Sentiments Designs! It's one of their September New Release stamps! If you haven't dropped by to look at them, you are totally missing out! This month is an eclectic group of wonderfully cute stamps! For the next week we will be showing you the New Release images at Crafty Sentiments Inspirations. The DT have been making some projects with tutorials to show off these new stamps!
I made a canvas for my daughter's birthday using the Basket of Flowers stamp. Here is the finished canvas. A tutorial is below. :)
I started by applying Gesso to the canvas to prime it. Then I placed my texture items down using Mod Podge. I also used a Gel Medium when using my stencils to add more depth.
Still adding more texture!
And finishing off with some wood and metal pieces. The wooden corner piece is from Hobbycutz. The metal pieces are Recollections and Tim Holtz. The letters JESUS were made using the flower stems from my I Am Roses flowers. I cut them off the flowers and curled them up!
After I finished placing my texture items, I applied Gesso to the entire canvas.
Once dry, I sprayed with Dylusions spray inks.
I sprinkled some water over the ink to make the splotches. I really liked how it turned out! After it dried, I lightly applied Gesso to the edges of all the texture items to have them pop out a little.
Here's a close-up of the cute image Basket of Flowers! I colored her with copics and added some cute freckles to go along with her red hair.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Please check out all the projects over the next several days at Crafty Sentiments Inspirations!
